Account information. When you sign up, we collect information from your chosen sign-in method (email address, and if you use Google Sign-In, your name, email, and profile photo as provided by Google).

Content you create. This includes your movie/TV watchlist, watched history, ratings, taste preferences, calendar events, and any shared lists you create or join.

Social/friend data. If you use friend and shared-list features, we store your friend connections, friend requests, and the membership of any shared lists or group sessions you participate in.

Usage data. We may collect basic analytics about how you use the Service (pages visited, features used, general device/browser information) to help us understand and improve the product.

Cookies and similar technologies. We use cookies or similar local storage to keep you signed in and remember your preferences.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
  • Personalize movie/TV recommendations
  • Enable social features (friends, shared lists, group sessions, calendar events)
  • Communicate with you about your account or the Service

3. Third-Party Services

We rely on the following third parties to operate the Service:

  • Firebase (Google) — authentication, database storage (Firestore), and hosting-related infrastructure. Google's handling of this data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
  • The Movie Database (TMDB) — we use the TMDB API to retrieve movie and TV show information (titles, artwork, descriptions, and related metadata). This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Sharing Your Information

Information you choose to make visible to friends (e.g., shared watchlists, activity in shared sessions) is visible to the friends/participants you've connected with — this is a core function of those features, not a third-party disclosure. We do not otherwise share your personal information with third parties except as described in this policy or as required by law.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account information and content for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your associated personal data within a reasonable time, except where we're required to retain certain information for legal or legitimate business purposes.

6. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data
  • Export your data
